Tin Boo Yee arrived in the United States on May 23, 1926. He was eleven years old born in Sunning District, Guangdong Province. Travelling with him were his father Lee Yee and his older brother Tin Bow Yee.

Gion Fook and his brother Heen Fook first arrived in the United States in 1903. According to the passenger manifest, Joe Lee was listed as the father and merchant in Omaha, Nebraska, the intended destination of the brothers.

Emma Quong Fong is the first Chinese woman to be appointed U. S. Postmistress of Hughes, AR, in 1956. She held this Post until August 18, 1962.
